Horse therapy for Samira and playing soccer for Mert

The siblings Samira (12 years) and Mert (10 years) have a very difficult family history.

Their single mother did not have an easy childhood and grew up in a loveless, sometimes violent relationship with her mother. She was later diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. The bad relationship between the two had an effect on Kerstin's daughter Samira. Samira was a frequent witness to the violence between her mother and grandmother. As a result, she developed an attachment disorder over the years. Because of the attachment disorder, Samira seems very introverted and can't really build confidence in her ability, let alone a healthy sense of self.

The right therapy for Samira

Despite her limitations, Samira shows great discipline in school and manages to bring home good grades. The 12-year-old has already had several therapies, but they have had little to no effect. However, she shows progress when she has contact with horses. Animals in general have a calming effect on her and she can develop better as a result. Especially riding lessons - in the context of horse therapy - can help her future development a lot.

Mert has been accepted at a high school for the new school year and would like to play soccer in a club. An initial equipment for the new school, as well as soccer equipment for the club sport are his biggest wish and we are happy to fulfill it.
