“Soulwriting” Project – 22 May 2014

The “Soulwriting” project is open to children and young people aged 10 years and over who receive psychosomatic treatment in the Altona Children’s Hospital (AKK). Once a week they write and compose their worries and needs out of their souls, put their thoughts and feelings on paper and can then set them to music and sing them together.

The children and young people are accompanied by a pediatric nurse, an educator and a singer during the 1.5 hours. There are two weekly sessions with 4 to 8 children. 15.000 € is required to finance the project for one year (including the personnel costs of the supervisors who are not employed by the AKK).

They were present when the cheque was handed over:

Prof. Dr. med. Michael Schulte-Markwort (Medical Director at UKE – Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychosomatic and Psychotherapy)
Anke Schaubrenner, music therapist of the project “Soulwriting” and 3 young people participating in the project Soulwriting, as part of their therapy
Jürgen Deforth (Managing Director Audi Hamburg GmbH) with Petra Schultze (Press Officer Audi Hamburg GmbH)
