16-year-old Jonathan has suffered from epilepsy since his birth. He didn’t learn to walk until he was nine years old. The progress in his postural endurance seems to be still expandable (according to therapist), which makes a continuation of hippotherapy desirable. Jonathan can run short distances on his own, but he can hardly assess obstacles and is therefore in a wheelchair most of the time.
The costs for one and a half years of hippotherapy amount to 1.000 €. The health insurance does not cover these costs and are donated by the Hanse Lounge.
