At the beginning of the year, a 20-year-old man managed to throw the entire republic, especially political Berlin, into turmoil. For over a month, he made private data of politicians and other celebrities available to the public as an "Advent calendar" on Twitter and in his blog. Only after four days of investigation did it emerge that this was not an organized hacker attack.
How could a lone wolf manage to get hold of so much data and publish it unnoticed? How great is the danger that private individuals and companies are really in? And how can they protect themselves?
These are the questions that Criminal Investigator Harald Bunte (Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Lower Saxony), 1st Criminal Investigator Andreas Dondera (Hamburg State Criminal Investigation Office) and Steffen Teske (Managing Director of the cybersecurity company Perseus) want to discuss with you.
