Time for the future: Mentors for children to strengthen their self-confidence

The association “Time for the Future – Mentors for Children” was founded in 2013. Children between 6 and 16 years of age from burdened families are provided with an adult mentor for at least one year, who offers the child new perspectives and guides them to further development. The so called “Tandem” meets 2-4 times a month for a common activity.

By focusing exclusively on “his” child, the self-confidence of the child is strengthened.
The mentors work on a voluntary basis, but the costs of matching and supervision of the tandems are covered by donations. Per child and year it is 1,000 euros. We finance six sponsorships in the socially deprived area of Steilshoop.
